Vertix Asia-Pacific Pte Ltd have developed a masterplan for a the Zhengzhou International Cultural and Creative Industry Park in Zhengzhou, China.

The city of Zhengzhou in China held a master planning competition for a new development site comprised of 838 hectares. The competition included the design of a master plan to accommodate a wide array of land use types, including mixed use developments, parks, extensive public spaces, and cultural centers.

Vertix was lead transport master planner for the competition, in charge of conceptualizing all aspects of transport. The objective was to evaluate the current traffic and public transport provisions, identify gaps in the network, and identify transport solutions for residents and users of the master plan as well as external travelers permeating the master plan.

Vertix conceptualized and conducted schematic design for the traffic, public transportation, cycling, and pedestrian facilities throughout the master plan. The final concept included an autonomous vehicle group rapid transport system, strategic pedestrian pathway network, mobility hubs to create a personal mobility mode sharing ecosystem, and a roadway network and associated hierarchy.
