Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) are constructing a new roadway and public transport corridor through the heart of Singapore. The North South Corridor (NSC) will facilitate movements between the Woodlands area and downtown Singapore. The corridor is partially underground and partly viaduct.

Vertix Asia-Pacific Pte Ltd (Vertix) have been engaged by TY Lin international to complete NSC contracts N113 and N115 on behalf of the prime contractor, Hyundai Engineering and Construction (HDEC).

Vertix are responsible for conducting all Transport Impact Assessments (TIA) and traffic surveys for both contracts. For N115 Vertix are designing and producing all traffic diversion plans and traffic control plans to support construction activities.

Vertix have partnered with all stakeholders including LTA and the main contractor, HDEC, to plan and design all traffic diversion plans. The plans will provide HDEC with adequate space to conduct all construction activities over three stages. The diversion plans are carefully designed to provide one to one replacement of traffic capacity where possible to avoid impacts to motorists, and to minimize the need for TIAs. The diversions also retain all pedestrian and cyclist facilities throughout the project area.

Diversion plans are produced in close collaboration with the structural designs to ensure all construction and structural requirements are met.
